American Slings’ Sling Spline is designed to securely hold replacement sling fabric in outdoor patio chair frames. Available by the roll or by the foot, our spline comes in four sizes: 3/16″ (.180″), 7/32″ (.21875″), 1/4″ (.25″), and 5/16″ (.3125″). The correct spline size depends on the manufacturer’s frame groove size and the thickness of the sling fabric being used. For replacement projects, we recommend measuring the original spline to ensure the best fit. Designed to slide into the hem seam of sling fabric and into the sling rail track of patio furniture frames, this spline helps maintain proper fabric tension for a secure and professional installation. Manufactured from commercial-quality 100% virgin vinyl/polyethylene with built-in UV inhibitors, it is engineered for outdoor durability and resistance to moisture, cracking, and sun exposure.
• IMPORTANT: The 1/4″ spline features a small 0.05″ center hole (non-solid core) designed to increase flexibility and make installation easier while still providing a strong and reliable fit inside wider sling rail grooves.
